Naturally it's been given the deluxe X Factor production valet, even being retitled from 'Many Of Horror' to 'When We Collide' to make sure everyone who might possibly want to download it can track it down on iTunes, but this dark love song is still the most adventurous winner's single to date - and credit to Cowell & Co. for giving a leg-up to a British band teetering at the perimeter of the mainstream. As for The 'Umble Painter 'n' Decorator himself, he does a sterling job here, delivering the violence-tinged lyrics with an appealing sense of intimacy, navigating the inevitable key change with ease and really smashing it on the final note. All of which goes to show that Louis Walsh did actually manage to say something that made sense on this year's show - the boy really does have a good recording voice.
