The 48-year-old Scottish singer was rumoured to be releasing a cover of 'Moon River', but her record company has played down the reports.
The track, which was composed by Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini, was originally sung by Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast At Tiffany's.
It picked up an Academy Award in 1961 and was named record of the year at the Grammy Awards the following year.
According to The Mirror, Boyle's album is being described as a "biographical" record.
"It is a really biographical album which says a lot about the music she has listened to over the years, or feels emotionally attached to," a source said.
