The 19-year-old singer, who won Your Country Needs You! on Friday night, was snubbed by the ITV1 talent show before he got involved with the BBC Eurovision competition.
"Obviously I wasn't what [Got Talent] were looking for," he told the Sunday Express. "I thought my audition went really well but if they don't want me, that's fine. I'm still on cloud nine after being picked for Eurovision and I probably won't come down!"
Speaking on BBC Breakfast this morning, he added: "I've always been trying to get my face out there as an artist. What a great opportunity this is to go for. To represent the UK - that is huge."
Eurovision 2010 will take place in Oslo, Norway on May 29.
