The jaunt kicks off at Birmingham's O2 Academy on October 1 and wraps up in Leeds's The Wardrobe on October 26. He will also play a single date in London's Islington on October 22.

O'Shaughnessy will perform songs from his debut self-titled EP, which topped the Irish album chart and entered at number nine in the UK earlier this month.

The set includes lead single 'No Name', which also served as his audition song on Britain's Got Talent.

Tickets for the gigs, priced between £8 and £10, go on sale Friday, August 31 at 12pm.

The 19-year-old recently insisted that the EP showcases him as more than a singer-songwriter, adding: "Lyrically all the songs are quite personal, which really exposes me as a person."
