Ex-'Neighbours' star completes solo album

The actress concentrated on her commitments with Rogue Traders after leaving her role as Izzy Hoyland on the Aussie soap in 2006, but she decided to quit as the electro pop band's lead singer earlier this year.
Bassingthwaighte's first solo single 'Alive' will be released in Australia next month, while her album will follow in 2009.
"It took me a while to find my own sound, probably longer than I expected," Natalie told the Herald Sun. "But I am really happy with the result, it represents me wholly and solely.
"It's a mix of sounds - there's lots of light and shade, some really fun pop songs as well as some slower more personal ballads and a few quirky moments that I can't wait to perform."
Bassingthwaighte has also been developing her TV career by hosting the Australian version of reality show So You Think You Can Dance?.
