R Kelly makes live comeback on 'X Factor' USA - video

The R&B star performed his 1996 hit 'I Believe I Can Fly' with contestant Melanie Amaro during the first part of the reality show's final.
"To have been thru what I have been thru - having throat surgery and not only unable to sing, but not even able to talk - and to end up on the stage of X Factor tonight shows the true power of God," he posted on Twitter before going on stage.
Kelly was admitted to Chicago's Northwestern Memorial Hospital in July to have an abscess in a tonsil drained following days of severe pain.
The 'Ignition' musician previously revealed that he has written 32 new episodes of his cult 'hip-hopera' series Trapped in the Closet. He is currently seeking investors to help fund the new videos.
The X Factor USA winner will be announced during the results show on Thursday night (December 22).
