The X Factor judge spoke to reporters at Thursday's live show, where he expressed a desire to keep working with the California band beyond the competition.
"I think there's a pretty good chance [that I'll sign them]. I'm not going to let anyone else get them," Cowell quipped. "There'll be some pretty big announcements at the end of the show."
Emblem3's Wesley Stromberg appeared pleased when told of Cowell's comments after the X Factor live show.
"That makes me feel very good," Stromberg commented to The Hollywood Reporter. "He's probably got his poker face on. He just wants us to focus on what's going on so he's probably not telling us that on purpose but this is awesome.
"That's super cool. We're probably gonna do better now actually, that's motivation."
Emblem3's Drew Chadwick previously admitted that the band has disagreed with Cowell choosing strictly commercial songs for them to perform on The X Factor in previous weeks.
"We're more than just [a boyband]. We're real artists. We are," Chadwick said last week. "It's easy to get the girls [as fans]. We wanna get the guys, too."
The group has made The X Factor's semi-finals, which air on Wednesday (December 12) at 8/7c on Fox.
