The reality TV star told New that being on the ITV2 programme had changed his life "massively".
Argent said: "I'm now recording my own music and I'm the support act for Olly Murs. It's been brilliant and I'm making the most of it.
"I know it won't last forever, so I'll take it with a pinch of salt and have fun. Have you met any celebrity fans of the show?"
Of how he met fellow Essex star Lydia, he explained: "There was a massive after-party. She tried to set me up with one of her mates, but it didn't happen, so I ended up with Lydia instead."
