Christina Aguilera has said that she believes herself to be a "strong, powerful woman".
The 'Beautiful' singer stated that she had to develop a thick skin in order to achieve success in the music industry.

"You got to be a strong, powerful, very confident woman," she declared at the Television Critics Association press tour. "Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny.
"As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need."
Aguilera made an appearance to promote the upcoming second season of The Voice, saying that she hoped to inspire the same determination in the show's contestants.
"Being in a position to coach these young women, I am happy to be able to share that with them and share my highs and lows," she commented. "Being on the show, it's a very good outlet for me."
The Voice will premiere on NBC after the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 5, before settling into its regular Monday night slot from February 6.
The eight celebrity guest mentors assisting Aguilera and her fellow coaches Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton were revealed on Friday (January 6).
