'The Voice' Tony Lucca: 'Justin Timberlake collaboration possible'

By
The Voice's Tony Lucca has revealed that he might collaborate on new music with Justin Timberlake.

Lucca - who finished as second runner-up on The Voice - famously starred with Timberlake, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Ryan Gosling in the Mickey Mouse Club in the 1990s.

He recently signed a record deal with former mentor Adam Levine's 222 Records and has now hinted to Billboard that Timberlake may feature on his upcoming LP.

"[We] have been constantly flirting with sitting down and working together," Lucca teased.

He continued: "Trying to tie that guy down is like hitting a moving target, but I'd love to hear what we could do if we got together."

Timberlake has largely refrained from recording music in the last few years, with the star recently saying that he will not rush a follow-up to 2006's FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Lucca also spoke about his songwriting process, revealing that he has already penned "a good batch of songs" that he is quite "proud of".

"I've got a couple songs in a more rock, edgier vein. I've got some that are more like the singer-songwriter fare I've been creating over the years," he explained.

"Once we all kind of agree on which direction we're going to go, then it's a matter of finding the right songs that are going to work well at radio and wherever else."

Lucca's record is expected to be out in 2013.
