De Lesseps: 'Staub song sounded good'

Real Housewives Of New York City star Countess LuAnn de Lesseps has said that she was "pleasantly surprised" by franchise castmate Danielle Staub's first song.

Staub - who appears on the New Jersey series - debuted new track 'Real Close' on last week's episode of Watch What Happens Live.

Speaking to People, de Lesseps said: "I heard a little bit... It was a ballad and she sounded good. I was pleasantly surprised. It softens her to sing, I think "

De Lesseps launched her own musical career earlier this year with 'Money Can't Buy You Class' and was reported to have landed a record deal in May.

Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak - who released 'Tardy For The Party' this year - has also spoken out in support of Staub, saying that she hopes the song "does well".
