The actress, who plays Jenny Humphrey in the CW drama, will take her band The Pretty Reckless on a 24-date jaunt across the States with the Australian duo before they release their debut album.
Momsen and her group made their stage debut last night, opening for The Veronicas at New York's Annex. They will continue on the road with them until June 30.
The Pretty Reckless's debut LP will be available on Interscope Records this autumn.
Speaking to E! News, a representative for Gossip Girl insisted that the tour will not interfere with filming for the programme.
Last month, Momsen's co-star Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) landed her own major record deal with Universal Republic.
