American Idol creator Simon Fuller commented: "To find a talent as exceptional as Adam Lambert is a rare and special event...I am thrilled that American Idol was the platform for the world to discover this brilliant young man."
The press release also confirmed that Lambert would answer "all your questions" about his sexuality in this month's Rolling Stone magazine, which is released on June 12. The singer was spotted with rumoured boyfriend Drake LaBry earlier this month.
