The as-yet-untitled LP's first single will be released this summer and will mark the third disc that she has recorded since winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005, TV Guide reports.
The country singer is collaborating with producer Mark Bright, who also worked on her first two albums, Some Hearts and Carnival Ride, which have sold over ten million copies combined.
In April, Underwood became the first female since 2001 to win the ACM entertainer of the year award at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
