The singer, who won the first series of the reality TV show, apparently approached Sparks to perform single 'Art Of Love' with him after being turned down by a number of Australian female artists.
Sebastian told The Daily Telegraph: "When everyone turned the song down, I pondered whether it was meant to be a duet... we thought there was no way we could get [Jordin] on the track - she's huge."
He continued: "I thought deep down that it was supposed to have Jordin on there so I sent it to her. Literally overnight, she came back and said she loved the song and would love to do it as soon as she came off tour with Britney. We could have done it over a phone line but I paid for my own flight, went back to New York and she kicked arse on that track."
The 27-year-old added: "I'm heading back over in a couple of weeks to do the video with her. I can't wait."
