The country singer, who releases debut album Clear As Day in October, told fans on his official Twitter account that his new song will be played on radio on Tuesday.
He wrote: "A lot of yall have already found out, but.. here's the news anyways, haha.
"My new single 'The Trouble With Girls' is gonna be hitting radio tomorrow! Listen for it, request it, and lemme know what you think! (sic)"
'The Trouble With Girls' will mark the follow-up to McCreery's debut single 'I Love You This Big', which made country music history on its release when it became the highest-charting debut for a new artist in more than two decades.
McCreery, who won American Idol over runner-up Lauren Alaina back in May, will release his debut album Clear As Day on October 4
In an email to fans earlier this month about the record, the teenager said: "Clear As Day is definitely country and it's definitely me. It has some old country influences and elements, but it also has a contemporary feel with fun up-tempo songs. It's a good mixture."
McCreery is currently on the 'American Idols Live!' tour with the rest of season ten's Top 11 finalists.
