MTV snubs Abdul's comeback video

MTV has refused to play Paula Abdul's new single after critics slammed her "recycled" dance routines.

The American Idol judge's promo to Dance Like There's No Tomorrow failed to impress the channel following its premiere on the show last month.

Abdul was known for her innovative dance routines to songs including 'Straight Up' and 'Opposites Attract' during her heyday in the late '80s.

MTV said it had no intention of screening her latest promo, despite her collaboration with fellow judge Randy Jackson.

A spokesman told OK!: "There are currently no plans to play the video."
