Goldfrapp: 'Caravan Girl'
Alison Goldfrapp in a caravan? Yeah, right! The idea that this aloof, slightly otherworldly pop artiste spends her weekends frying sausages on a Calor Gas stove in a Buccaneer in Bognor is faintly ridiculous. But picture her in one of those quaint, olde worlde gypsy caravans - the kind a fortune-teller might live in - and it all makes sense.

'Caravan Girl' is actually a gorgeous, sun-kissed ode to the possibilities of travel and escaping - essential listening as you tear up the motorway this summer. Probably the most radio-friendly moment from Goldfrapp's Seventh Tree album, it canters along merrily to a chorus that's both uplifting and wistful, all delicate electronica and spooky, overdubbed vocals. Three singles in, the duo's new sound is suiting them very well.
