McFly: 'One For The Radio'
Four years, three albums and 13 singles into their career, McFly have come of age. They've ditched Island Records in pursuit of greater creative control, set up their own label and signed a genuinely ballsy deal with the Mail on Sunday, which will distribute copies of their new album six weeks before it's available in the shops.

New single 'One For The Radio' reflects their new-found creative freedom, showcasing a tougher, more muscular sound that owes an obvious debt to US pop/punk. The lyrics are spikier too, taking aim at closet McFly fans who are too snobbish to admit they like the band. Truth be told, this isn't McFly's most infectious single, but the boys deserve credit for trying something different and making a decent job of it.
