Ting Tings: 'Shut Up And Let Me Go'

'Shut Up And Let Me Go', the brilliant disco tune from the iTunes ad, shows why they can pull off this nifty balancing act. It's so infectious it should probably be put in quarantine before being allowed to go abroad, but there's enough spiky attitude here to please the cool crowd. The star of the show, once again, is singer Katie White, who comes off like Debbie Harry with PMS, but in a good way. No-one would dare to call her Stay-cee any more.

This is by far the most pathetic song I've ever heard in my life. It's an insult to any musician and shouldn't be classified as music.. but I guess they deserve some recognition for getting their cacophonies aired, even produced.

Anyone over the age of 15 shouldn't even admit to enjoy lyrics like this. Infectious should read "irritating" in your second paragraph.

The Chic-like rhythm guitar is ok but the beat and overall production sounds plastic and irritating, not satisfying (kind of abrasive and rasping, not chunky). Her vocals are obviously a love it or hate it thing and I'm afraid I am in the 'hate it' camp.

this song and band make me want to vomit wildly all over the place in a bid to stop them from ever releasing or even playing any more music. They are no talented, they are generic in every meaning of the word from the oxford dictionary. how can so many of you have been brain washed to quality of music. Ting Tings = Mcdonalds Music

"Shut up and let me go" is an brilliant and unique single, it's different to other singles out now and has a very catchy tune! OK ... the lyrics are meaning-less but who cares ?!

just because she talks on one of the songs. does not mean she can not sing. I just heard her sing acoustic on live lounge and she sang amazingly. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This band are just hideous, probably one or two hit wonders. She can't sing, she just goes on this out of tune non-melodic rant... And live, they are dreadful. At Glastonbury she was all over the place, and obviously can't play instruments as well as being an abysmal singer.

I might be in the minority, but I've hated their singles so far. She has such a whiny petulant teenager type voice which drives me mad!

Easily the best song of 2009 - The Ting Tings are FANTASTIC!
