Pigeon Detectives: 'Everybody Wants Me'
The ingredients should be familiar by now - lost love, youthful exuberance, catchy guitar hooks and big choruses. It can only be The Pigeon Detectives. The Yorkshire five-piece have found a formula that works and they're going to cling to it until fading chart success prompts a change in direction. With 'Everybody Wants Me', frontman Matt Bowman dissects the romantic frustrations that come with a rapid rise to fame.

Success has evidently brought him plenty of female attention but, according to this song, not from the one girl that matters. Though it may be an effective pop song, 'Everybody Wants Me' does cover exactly the same ground as nearly every other Pigeons single that's come before. Two albums in quick succession, with a third promised very soon, could cause this promising group to burn out far too quickly.

Wouldn't say they're exactly famous, or does being on The Radio One playlist and sometimes in the NME count as fame these days? Most people would have trouble humming one of their songs or recognizing any of them. Not a good song anyway.
