Unfortunately, 'The Girl I Love' - being released off the back of their appearance on the BBC Two show - suggests the Cambridge trio are little more than a group of lucky chancers. With a sound similar to a watered-down Razorlight, or Scouting For Girls without the mega chorus, this is pedestrian, plodding indie-by-numbers. Not even a shoe-horned in brass section can lift the track out of the "mediocre" category. Let's hope they didn't give up the day jobs, because Hamfatter's 15 minutes may already be up.
