Taio Cruz: 'She's Like A Star'

Simon Cowell's asked him to write for Leona and Shayne, Sugababes and Anastacia want him on their new albums and Britney's apparently paid for him to jet over to the States. Clearly, Taio Cruz is well on his way to becoming the British Timbaland. Unfortunately, all this extra-curricular activity seems to have had a negative impact on his own singing career.

While his debut album shows plenty of promise, 'She's Like A Star' is undoubtedly one of its low points. A decidedly average R&B ballad, this track lacks the bravado and pizazz of previous efforts 'I Can Be' and 'Come On Girl'. Perhaps he's saving his best beats for his high-profile clients, because Cruz seems to be working on autopilot here.
