Sharleen Spiteri: 'Stop I Don't Love You Anymore'
It wasn't the first record to recreate the sixties pop sound for late-noughties music fans, and nor is it the most adventurous, but that hasn't stopped Sharleen Spiteri's solo debut from finding an audience. In fact, Melody went gold just three weeks after its July release.

'Stop I Don't Love You Anymore', the album's second single, offers a neat summary of its charms: the chorus is strong, the production is rich and authentic and Spiteri packs a hefty emotional punch. "You're the only one to blame that our love has fallen through," she sings at one point, sounding both sad and feisty. At this rate, the Texas hiatus won't be ending any time soon.
