Ting Tings: 'Be The One'

Katie White has given us a fair bit of attitude since the Ting Tings became surprise chart-toppers in May. Here's a recap for you: Kay-tee most definitely isn't called Stay-cee; Katie wants us to shut up and let her go; and there's no way in hell that Katie's going to be posing for the lad mags.

Now, just as she was starting to seem a bit mardy, comes a single that shows the duo's softer side. 'Be The One' may not pack the punch of their previous hits, but this dreamy, melancholy pop song, which sounds like a cross between Blondie and Altered Images, is still pretty charming. "I don't wanna be the one making all the noise," White sings, sounding sweet and vulnerable. Well, almost.
