Adele: 'Make You Feel My Love'

She hasn't sold as many albums as Duffy or won as much acclaim as Miss Winehouse, but by anyone's standards Adele's doing pretty well. It looked like she'd been set up for a nasty fall when the hype surrounding her debut album went a little crazy at the start of the year, but her music has generally managed to silence the naysayers - and she comes out fighting on her latest single.

Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love' has been covered by everyone from Garth Brooks to Kelly Clarkson in the past, but Adele's genuine affection for the song ensures her rendition doesn't end up sounding like a sappy X Factor audition. With just piano as backing, her dreamy, passionate vocals are allowed to shine. And maybe it's just a coincidence, but the dramatic refrain of "You ain't seen nothing like me yet" seems to apply to her critics as well as a prospective lover.
