New Kids On The Block ft. Ne-Yo: 'Single'

Quite why Ne-Yo felt the need to attach himself to the New Kids reunion project remains a mystery. The R&B star is currently one of the most wanted artists around, with Girls Aloud, Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson all clamouring for a piece of his songwriting talent, so it's baffling that he even answered the call from Jordan Knight and the gang.

Then again, 'Single' sounds like something he could have knocked out in a spare half hour. A midtempo R&B plodder that never really sparks into life, it finds New Kids trying desperately not to act their age while informing an anonymous female that she "don't gotta be alone tonight". If nothing else, this should at least teach Ne-Yo an important lesson about quality control.
