It should betray the whiff of slim pickings, but actually 'Dream On' lives up to the high standards Robyn's set recently. Strings dovetail with synths to exquisite effect - much as they did on 'With Every Heartbeat' - as Robyn serenades "cheats and traitors, scum and lowlifes" and other groups on the outside of society. It's first-rate electropop for the head, heart and feet.

Well it will likely take the itunes fools in Aus another year to release it here. So this (thief and mugger) got it by other means. I e mailed every person i have ever met about this song. Robyn is not the biggest star on the planet, yet she is surely currently one if it's brightest.

Love this song but unsure of how well it will do chartwise, only because Handle Me and Who's That Girl could only make #17 and #26 respectively before hurtling back out the charts, and they were brilliant pop tunes. Is it me or do Brits seem to be quite fickle when it comes to Scandinavian pop talent that's around at the moment? Despite having some of the best writers of the genre in Sweden and Norway, and producing some of the catchiest hits, after an initial top 5 placing, both Alphabeat and Robyn have struggled to make the Top 10. Hopefully the fact that Dream On is not featured on Robyn's eponymous record will mean that fans shell out the 79p to download it...And who cares if it is 2 yrs old. So were HAndle Me, Be Mine and Who's That Girl. It doesn't take away from the fact that this quirky ditty is one of the year's most original pop songs. Having placed at number 42 in Sweden, I think this is relatively more obscure than those other tracks, and definitely worthy in it's own right of having a belated UK release!
