Same Difference: 'We R One'
Why did ITV even bother commissioning Britannia High when they had the British answer to High School Musical on their doorstep? Sean and Sarah Smith, who transformed from drama school irritants to lovable underdogs on last year's X Factor, have all the ingredients to match the success of Efron, Hudgens and co: positive mental attitudes, gleaming smiles and an appetite for a killer key change.

What their debut single lacks in depth, it certainly makes up for in chutzpah. The brother/sister duo may not be the strongest singers in the world, but few acts could pull off lyrics like: "Together! Together! Baby we "r" one!" and sound like they actually mean it. Starting off like an Abba piano ballad before bursting into a ticker tape crescendo of sticky pop goodness, this is as subtle as a poke in the eye with a frying pan. The surprising result is one of the finest spin-off releases in the history of The X Factor.

They were not singing at the x factor, they were miming. This will appeal to 7 year old girls and those recently lobotomised.

There's an element of foot tapping involved. Would have been a perfect Eurovision song and would have stood a chance, compared to the nonsense that we normally send over there.

Excellent. If it wasn't SD it could be a Bon Jovi stadium anthem.

Love it, great tune, performed with gusto.. Yes it's cheesy and will attract more than it's fair share of knockers..but it's called pop music and there'll always be a place for that. Well done you two.

Sarah had an awful voice last year, seeing them on the X Factor tonight, her voice has completely changed! Is that after a year's worth of training, great digital enhancement, or a Milli Vanilli!

I am absolutely disgusted that anything as diabolical as this has actually got past the prototype stages! It is just truly awful! The world has been tortured beyond belief at the hands of High School Musical (not one, but THREE of them!!!) but for ITV executives to authorise the inhumane abuse to 12million people of this country's population is in my opinion an act of terrorism! More to the point, has Simon Cowell been secretly diagnosed with dementia, because for someone with such strong, critical opinions on music, he is sure scraping not the barrel, but the vessel! I really fear for our country if THIS is the best we have to offer...an excellent singer like Rachel Hylton was voted off last night, but yet last year, Same Difference made the final three...what the hell?! I now wish every person who expresses their views after me will only provide positive reviews on methods to execute these "singers" without getting caught!!! I rest my case. P.S...the only reason I'm giving it 1 star is because there isn't a -1000000 star!

Are you kidding me, they are a great fun pair and enjoy themselves so what's wrong with that? There are plenty of people out there ruining the business... As much as i love her Amy Winehouse does nobody any favours and at least these two are honest fun and a good example to the audience it's aimed at! What's so wrong with that!?!

Please,no! The world has suffered enough with the High School Musical rubbish, now we have these two. What a joke. The music industry is going downhill because of these types of "singers".
