Enrique Iglesias ft. Sean Garrett: 'Away'

Neither the greatest singer nor the most visionary of popstars, Enrique Iglesias has always been dogged by the faint whiff of queso. But, as his surprisingly solid Greatest Hits set proves, he's also a fairly adaptable performer who's pulled off everything from Latin disco to mum-friendly ballads to slightly cooler urban pop tunes.

'Away', a collaboration with trendy producer Sean Garrett, showcases his ability to move with the times. With its booming, reverb-laden drum sounds, synthy chorus and catchy/repetitive vocal hook ("You throw me away, away, away, away, oh why?"), it's a fairly standard slice of post-'Umbrella' pop-R&B. But on the other hand, it's middle-of-the-road enough to keep his core fanbase smiling. Quite a clever combination, that.
