Kevin Rudolf ft. Lil Wayne: 'Let It Rock'

You may not have heard of Kevin Rudolf, but it's almost certain that you'll have heard some of his work. The multi-talented American has played guitar on hits by Nelly Furtado, Black Eyes Peas and LL Cool J, and even co-produced tracks with The Neptunes. Perhaps tired of toiling behind the scenes, he's now aiming to become a star in his own right.

His debut single is more rock-orientated than his previous credits would suggest, but thanks to some sleek, Timbaland-esque production and a cameo from America's hottest rapper Lil Wayne, it ticks plenty of boxes. While the lyrics, which rhyme "fire", "higher", "alive" and "arrive", leave plenty to be desired, the catchy chorus hook just about save the day. Not a classic debut by any means, but certainly one to keep an eye on in 2009.
