Three words for this song "load of s**t". Lilly Allen is a toad and is uglier than a goblin. Why the UK is wasting their time listening to this crap just proves that people in the UK have no good taste in music. Lilly go get a job singing for little girls.

Wow! Her lyrics are like, so deep and her voice is,yeah, POWERFUL! And the swearing makes the tune cutting edge and the message is really really anti-establishment because she knows how bad fame is... and I really need my medication now, NURSE! PLEASE!
MMMBop, Middle Of Nowhere on January 27th, 2009
Love the song

Has no one else picked up on the irony of talent free Lily who is, lets face it mostly famous for being Keith Allen's daughter and shagging his elderly friends 'writing' a song about fame hungry wanabees with er no talent? A distinctly average song but she deserves audacity points for releasing something so clearly dripping with hypocrisy.

its like elevator music , so awful, and i struggle to call something a song when the person talks all the way through

It's a sign that I'm getting older (I'm 22) that I'm getting irritated by slightly unnecessary swearing and the lyric of 'everything's cool as long as im getting finner...' - I don't consider Lily to be a voice of the common people, despite her out spoken, tabloid friendly fodder. That said, The Fear is a fine track - commercial, but credible at the same time.

Absolutely love it - best thing she's ever done by a mile. And she looks so cute in the video (deceptive I know!)
Alan, Cork on January 17th, 2009
Took me a while but now I really like it!

Really like it. Its very different from last album an I wasnt really expecting to like her new stuff because i heard it has an indie influence but this song is amazing and it'll more than likely get to no 1

I heard this at the dentist earlier. Oh dear, my teeth had no pain but my ears were screaming for it to to stop. Justify 4 stars!

I don't think its that good to be honest. I usually like her music.

Excellent well produced song. The video is one of the best I've seen in years and has some hot boys in it too :)
Mark, Cambridge on January 13th, 2009
Pathetic, should be zero stars
Dan, East Sussex on January 13th, 2009
Yeah, it's a catchy track. But credit goes to the production team for that, not Lily Allen. And being a catchy tune doesn't make it good. The fact is, she can't sing at all and is hugely overrated. I can't understand how she ever became famous in the first place. Throwaway pop.

I love this song. It is very catchy.

I love The Fear and can't believe I have to wait two weeks to flipping buy it! But in the words of another forumite, it describes todays backward way of looking at celebrity, well done Lily!
Ian, London on January 13th, 2009
Like others, I could not stand her, but this is a great track, classy pop that we don't have enough of. I still don't like her but hats off for this.Should be huge.

Awful girl. Chav music that is totally rubbish.
Lucy, Hammersmith on January 12th, 2009
This has to be one of the worst follow ups to an album. It sounds like bad background music at the dentist.
Mike, Stoke-On-Trent on January 12th, 2009
Amazing!!!!!!!!! Loving the new sound and can't wait for the album!
Tony, Dublin on January 12th, 2009
Lily Allen is a boring wannabe. She will never amount to much as she is too stupid. Her PR people are doing good though. For the past 2 weeks she has been all over the papers, a clear indication that there is a new album on the way. Her last album was tripe and I'm sure her new one will be to. As for this single, she should just stop and save us all from listening to her c**p. If she were American I reckon the review would not have been so good
Simon, Nottingham on January 12th, 2009
Oh dear. This is great to put you asleep. Boring andif by anyone else it would have been slammed and written off.
