Taylor Swift: 'Love Story'

Her well-crafted country-pop songs and girl-next-door charm have made Taylor Swift a superstar in the US - last year she sold more albums there than any other artist. Now she's aiming to win over the UK, a market that hasn't always been terribly welcoming to gazillion-selling country singers from across the pond. Can Taylor succeed where Shania cleaned up, Faith came close and Carrie didn't really bother?

Well, 'Love Story' should certainly give her a decent start. The UK radio edit has as much in common with soft rock as country and outlines Swift's talents nicely. She excels at setting the scene ("I was crying on the staircase, begging you please don't go"), knows her way to a radio-friendly chorus and has enough charm to pull off lyrics that essentially rewrite Romeo & Juliet with a happy ending. Like a Meg Ryan rom-com, this is completely corny but hard not to like.

She is incredible, a fantastic singer, song-writer. I loved "Love Story" when i first heard it and it is brilliant. she is a charming, lovely person and i look forward to hearing more of her music.

I have been a fan of Taylor Swift since about December 2007 and haven`t stopped listening to her songs ever since, she is such an AMAZING artist and song writter! she wrote and co wrote all of her songs on her 'Fearless' album. Love Story is definietly one of my all time fave songs by her!

I'm currently on my hols and I walked into a record store the other day and heard one of her songs playing off her Fearless album, after hearing the next song I asked the assistant what album was playing & purchased the album even thou I never heard of her, I think it's a brill album, most of the songs are really good and catchy and I've not stopped playing it since purchasing the album, I hope they don't make a mess of the UK mix of Love Songs as it's good already......
