Many so-called "serious artists" bandy about expressions like "it's all about the music" in an attempt to prove their worth, but Lady GaGa
is on a mission to break through such narrow constraints. Asked to describe her sound recently, she replied: "It's pop, it's electronic, it's futuristic, it's fashion, it's New York, it's GaGa", before promptly taking helm of the electropop ship and sailing it full throttle to number one. Continuing full steam ahead, she's aiming to repeat the trick with second single 'Poker Face'.
It's another shimmying feast of excitement that builds on the instant appeal and in-yer-face attitude of 'Just Dance'
. Another collaboration with producer RedOne, 'Poker Face' has the bombastic beats and unshakable hooks of its predecessor, but this time with an added dose of sauciness ("I wanna roll with him, a hard pair we will be"). Ticking all the boxes in her own checklist, this fashionably futuristic electropop offering could teach those "serious artists" a thing or two about creating a smash.> Click here to read our review of Lady GaGa's album
