Frankmusik: 'Better Off As 2'

He's a writer, producer, multi-instrumentalist and remixer of choice for everyone from Pet Shop Boys to Alphabeat, so it was hardly surprising when 23-year-old Vincent Frank made it onto DS's Ones To Watch In 2009 list. He's been simmering under the surface for a couple of years now, filling trendy dancefloors with his infectious electropop and building up a healthy cult following, but Frankmusik is now looking to charm his way to the top - and there's a good chance he'll succeed.

After his '3 Little Words' taster at the tail end of last year, 'Better Off As 2' is the first proper release from his upcoming debut album Complete Me - and it's a neat introduction to his talents. With its quirky production, falsetto vocals and rousing chorus, 'Better Off As 2' encapsulates Frankmusik's eccentric yet accessible style in just three minutes. While this offering is guaranteed to get the toes tapping of even the most musically illiterate, what's more exciting is that his best tunes are still to come.
