Little Boots: 'New In Town'
At last! Little Boots has been a hip name to drop for at least six months now, and she won that BBC Sound of 2009 poll back in January, so it's about time that her first proper single began picking up spins. 'New In Town', produced by Lily Allen collaborator Greg Kurstin, features a slicker pop sound than early MySpace favourites like 'Meddle' and 'Stuck On Repeat', but it's no less engaging.

Inspired by nights she spent in LA while recording her debut album, this is an ode to going out and having a dance even though you've got no money and no gang of mates to hit the floor with. Driven by synthy power chords and a beat apparently nicked from a Flo Rida single, the starlet makes good on her promise to "show you a real good time" - with this electropop nugget, Little Boots is sure to get us all stomping.

Is this review a joke? Worse than 'Mama Do', and that's saying something

This song will be a great contender for number 1 spot. I REALLY HOPE THIS SONG DOES GO TO NUMBER 1 BECAUSE SHE'S JUST AMAZING! GREAT TRACK! PURE ELECTROPOP! She sounds like Dido a bit in this song. Finally, she getting recognized for her work and music

i personally dont think comments like 'Pure sh**e' should be refused. Fair enough if people want to put across a negative view, but that's just offensive and bares no real insight into what the user might actually think. hmmm

It's average, not bad. La Roux is much better.

The hype isn't deserved if you ask me.

She's pure hype, 1 good song and now she's turned into a generic female electro pop singer. Rachel Stevens could have come out with this in 2005.
