The Veronicas: 'Untouched'
Britain may be having an electropop moment, but that hasn't stopped identical twins Lisa and Jess, known collectively as The Veronicas, from hoping there are still people out there who like a bit of guitar with their synths. Having notched up two bestselling albums in their native Australia and cracked the US top 20 with their punchy pop-rock tunes, the girls are now aiming to win over us Poms.

Though it's been knocking about for a while, it's 'Untouched' that The Veronicas are touting as their breakthrough single over here. Sounding like a cross between Pink and Avril Lavigne at her least brattish, it combines surging guitars, a naggingly effective string hook and harmonies a-plenty before building to a catchy, attitude-packed chorus. There's little in the way of originality here, but the girls' vampish style and quirky charm should work in their favour.

all i can say is australia has done it again, after the minogue sisiter, holly valance and 2008s gabriella cilmi australia has awarded us with these amazing singers. The song is so catchy and the unusual sound at the start keeps you hooked with different but but brillant verses and one heck of a chorous for me it's a sure sunfire no 1 cause thats the only chart placing it deserves no 2 is dfar to low for a song of this quailty.

I came across The Veronicas Untouched from playing the PlayStation 3 game - FIFA 09. It is one of the songs featured throughout the game. I have heard it so many times and then bought in on Amazon MP3 Downloads. I think it is amazing because it has a great melody, the singing is both passionate and vulnerable at the same time and best of all I really feel like they are singing to and for me, which is the hallmark of the most successful singers in the world - a personal relationship with the listener!

I don't think they can sing, really. On the chorus, they almost sound constipated and gasp the high notes rather than sing them. And I don't think the song has much to it.

I first came across the veronicas spring 2008 and there track Untouched And I knew as soon as I herd them I needed to know more about them I now have both there albums and think they are wicked To be honest the first album- the secret like of the veronicas is to me more punk/pop While there new album – Hook me up is differently more Electro Its about time they have relesed in the uk – I really hope the sisters do well My favs are- this is how it feels. Take me on the floor, all I have, everything (a B side to hook me up) And of course the AMAZING untouched out of there 2 cds I think there is only 2 or 3 I skip there that’s cool
