Taylor Swift: 'Teardrops On My Guitar'
"I'll bet she's beautiful, that girl he talks about," sings Taylor Swift on her latest single. "And she's got everything that I have to live without." Hmm... it takes a hefty stretch of imagination to believe the blonde-haired, blue-eyed, million-selling US country-pop darling would ever be passed over for another girl. However, according to Swift, the tale is true and during her freshman years she was ignored by a chump called Drew who spent all day talking about his girlfriend.

We suspect Drew may be kicking himself just a little when he hears 'Teardrops', but in the mean time the rest of us have to put up with another plodding country weepy from Swift - one that lacks even the faintest flourish of excitement. Destined to soundtrack a slow dance scene in a dreadful teen rom-com, 'Teardrops' will undoubtedly entertain Swift's die-hard followers, but it's unlikely to win over those who consider her polite pop ditties as thrilling as a sack of potatoes.

The acoustic version of this song is so beautiful, the version released on her album totally ruins the song.

Bit harsh! I love the single. It's sweet, honest and genuine, and Taylor's vocals can't be falted. I have to give it 5 stars!

I really liked Love Story but this song is a slight let down. No airplay, little showings of the video. It is an ok song, which many people can relate to but i don't think that it will do well. Taylor Swift needs to do better to keep up with the current chart standard.

Ugh this is so annoying, this was out years ago! Just because she's suddenly become famous here doesn't mean she has to release old songs, i was hoping for white horse or you belong with me. Think of your early fans taylor!

I love this song its really beautiful but i think it was a mistake for her to release two slow songs after each other she should have released 'our song' or 'Should 've said no'

Hey BGwOK I'm from the UK and i don't agree with the ignorant and tasteless Alex Fletcher, who clearly cannot appreciate different styles of music! I think this is a fantastic song, v. different to Love Story which is much more upbeat! I think Taylor is the best at what she does (Country-pop) and the fact that she has sold millions of albums suggests that either she has A LOT of "die-hard followers" OR Alex Fletcher is in the minority. I'm sure many people will be inclined to believe the 2nd of those =]. P.S. The 5 stars are for the song, unfortunately the option of awarding no stars at all to the reviewer wasn't available! =D

This is a ridiculous review the song is great C'mon "Thrilling as a sack of potatoes" , Then again Euros would rather watch Eurovison, Sugar babes and Robbie Williams or Peter Andre so this review doesn't surprise me coming from a Euro

I think every girl has her 'Drew' and singing about it is fair but the song is dull and rather boring. not bad but nothing special
