For a band that swept onto the scene with such flair and panache at the tail end of 2003, it's something of a shame that Franz Ferdinand's wow factor has faded so over the past few years. They still have a way with a tune, but the troubled birth and mixed messages of third album Tonight betrayed a desire to relocate some of the quirky energy of their debut.

Sadly, on 'Can't Stop Feeling' you end up thinking that for all the hip-shaking beats, buzzing synths and artfully oblique lyrics, the band haven't quite managed to dig themselves out of their comfort zone. When Alex Kapranos sings "The fun's not fun anymore", it's hard not to find yourself nodding in agreement. Where previous single 'No You Girls' had enough spark to keep things interesting, 'Can't Stop Feeling' is crying out for something to really let you lose yourself in the moment.

when i heard the start of this song i thought it was something by Muse. not that that's a bad thing. it's an alright song but i agree it's just lacking that something needed to get going on.

This sounds 80's-ish and takes some time to get used to.. However it is quite good after a few plays
