Fever Ray: 'Triangle Walks'
Over the the past decade, Swedish brother-sister duo The Knife have amassed a small army of followers by spearheading their own brand of quirky electronic music. They're currently on an indefinite hiatus, but lead singer Karin Dreijer has eased the pain by embarking on a solo project under the alias of Fever Ray. She's received nods of acclaim for her atmospheric recent festival sets, so could third single 'Triangle Walks' be the one to reach out to the masses?

Sounding like Kate Bush, Florence Welch and Robyn all mixed into a hotpot of experimentation, it's little short of a four-minute masterpiece. A mesmerising combination of mournful, almost wailing vocals, electronic swirlings and tribal rhythms, it captures your senses, takes you on a dream-like voyage and leaves you a better person on the other side. It's noticeably darker than The Knife's recent output, so it might take a little longer to get your head around, but that extra effort will most certainly be rewarded.

It's a fantastic song and also has some of the best remixes I've ever heard. The album is spectacular. Be sure to get the re-issue though. It has 2 amazing cover versions and all 5 of her videos. It's such a shame that's she quitting Fever Ray, but at least she said she's going back to The Knife.

What a song? Bring back the 80's? If this is what's on offer then yes definitely please. This sounds like it's been lifted off an early Miami Vice episode. I have to disagree with you on the sounding like Robyn. Robyn? come on that's like comparing the finest Bree (Fever) to run of the mill processed cheese (Robyn). I would say this is ver Jan Hammeresque!
