Mr Hudson ft. Kanye West: 'Supernova'

Kanye West, never one for understatement, has spoken in glowing terms about his latest collaborator/friend/protégé, even going so far as to compare Mr Hudson to Frank Sinatra. The result? Awareness of the London-based singer, who had remained on the periphery of the pop landscape with 2007 debut A Tale Of Two Cities, is growing almost as rapidly as Kanye's ego.

Now comes 'Supernova', a blend of the artists' respective talents that should give Hudson his breakthrough hit. The beats are as cool and crisp as anything from West's 808s album, Hudson's impressive vocals twist and turn as effects knobs are twiddled around him, and it all builds to a near-epic crescendo after three minutes of robotic '80s pop. The Sinatra comments are pushing it, but it's easy to see why Kanye's got a little over-excited, because he could have a star in the making here.

When i first heard this song, i didnt really like it but i have to say that it grew on me and i couldnt resist buying it from i tunes. im so addicted to it now!

for all the critics kanye has, the man may not be the best vocaly, but he produces and writes great music, i think he should focus on this much more now, than singing his own singles which now seem very poor compared to the likes of 'golddigger' & 'stronger'. Kanye should stick to writing and producing songs with limited vocals, not complete songs by himself.

I absolutely love love LOVE this song! Good on Kanye for picking up another British person. And Mr Hudson is sooo fit. But he deffo picked the short straw in the vid with that beige monstosity he is wearing. But still, he has a great voice =) x x

don't believe the hype!! its not really that good, have no idea what the hysteria is about, i can think of other better songs that are out there, unfortunantly, this is not one of them!

Have to agree with Al from Manchester. Used to love Mr Hudson & The Library. Their stuff was fresh & unique. He's sold out and now producing this dross.

I think this single is great but i do think Kanye should have been cut from appearing on the single but i do beleive he only featured on the single to raise his UK credability and also to help promote the single for his new artist!
