Moroccan producer RedOne is one of pop's hottest properties. He provides the infectious beats that make Lady GaGa's bizarre behaviour palatable, so now everyone from Alexandra Burke to Sugababes wants to be sprinkled with his chart-busting gold-dust. Sadly, popularity hasn't made him particularly fussy about who he works with, and his latest collaborator - reggae-pop irritant Sean Kingston - is a case in point.

With its swathes of GaGa-esque synths, infectious chorus hook and fuzzy bassline, 'Fire Burning' has all the makings of a classic summer anthem. Even if the track had been left as an instrumental, it would work well enough as a throwaway club banger, but sadly Kingston had to add his awkward, reggae-tinged vocals. "The way she drop it low, that thang, got me wanting to spend my money on her," cries the tubby misogynist. Kingston may have a hit on his hands here, but it feels like a case of good fortune rather than genuine talent.
