The Ian Carey Project: 'Get Shaky'

What is the Ian Carey Project and why is he/they/it telling us to 'Get Shaky'? Well, having climbed all the way to number two on the Aussie singles chart last year, this electro-housey floorfiller from US DJ Ian Carey - no real surprise there, we suppose - is on a mission to get us Poms bopping too.

With a chorus that snags you on first listen and a place on the Radio 1 'A' list, you wouldn't bet against it succeeding. It's not as exciting as 'When Love Takes Over' or 'Heartbreak' - though of course it doesn't have the benefit of a name vocalist either - but as anonymous summer dance hits go this is fairly likeable stuff. After all, when the air is warm and the evenings are long, who doesn't want to get shaky after school?
