Flo Rida ft. Nelly Furtado: 'Jump'
Flo Rida reached number one with the Dead Or Alive-sampling 'Right Round', and as with immediate follow-up 'Sugar', he sticks to the Mediocre Rap + Poppy Female Chorus = Hit formula here. This time out, Nelly Furtado has the thankless task of providing the high notes on a single which also turns up on the soundtrack of animated hamster movie G-Force.

Furtado is definitely the best thing about 'Jump'. That's mainly because, in contrast to Flo's past two hits, her hook has a certain amount of refreshing quirkiness to it and isn't so well-worn as to annoy before the end of the first chorus. It's not enough to save the single though, and if you're foolhardy enough to listen to the utterly disposable and passionless lyrics about "sippin' on Goose", "Nike Airs" and "NBA ballin'", you'll still be none the wiser as to why Flo laughably opted to call his album R.O.O.T.S. (Routes Of Overcoming The Struggle).
