Luckily, 'Gold Digger' proves they've got the trousers (well, you know what we mean) to match their mouth. If the music is cheeky, gleefully thieving from Tom Tom Club and Kid Creole, then the lyrics are downright brazen. "Well she was real plain, had no brain and had no dough," they sing of the title's fame-seeking sponger, "But now she can roll in it and watch her boobs grow." This is the pop equivalent of flicking through OK! and having a bitch about the Z-listers inside - and every bit as fun as that sounds.

I really do enjoy to listen to this song by the Dolly Rockers. I think it's very, very good despite that they talk bad about other band.
i thnk they completly destroyd watever chance thy had by slagging off the other girl bands lol. they died before they were born. and yeh like most ppl here r sayin, this review is just wrong!

Excellent pop song with witty lyrics, a good beat and a music video with fabulous outfits. Who cares if The Dolly Rockers have slagged off other celebrities when they make music this good? They certainly will divide people. They are a bit Marmite-ish, but I, for one, LOVE them! And I agree with Tessa, UK - I do hope "How Did I End Up With U" gets released too!

I don't see what's with all the hate on this song - Does what these girls say about other girls REALLY make a difference on what the song sounds like? Lily Allen sings like she's talking and slags off anything with a pulse, yet she's a superstar. No difference. Well, I adore this song. It has personality, as do the girls. I love the outfits in the music video and the lyrics. I hope this does well. Although, I'm hoping they release How Did I End With U next. That one is absolutely brilliant!
I agree with Tia from London and Oli from Leeds. They go around insulting other girl bands especially the Saturday and expect peopelt o like them? They certainly have shut up on the run up to the single haven't they!
I really didn't like them to start with but this has grown on me a lot. If you block out all the stuff they've said about other girl bands its actually a pretty decent pop song. And to anyone who says they can't sing, just ask yourselves this - Lily Allen managed to get far by singing as if she's talking. I will admit though that they don't do themselves any favours by slagging off other bands though.
Its not bad, but they bitch and slag off their chart rivals which i think is quite pathetic, and it certainly doesnt mean they have a personality, the saturdays have WAY more personality, just watch the flip-cam videos on their website, and they dont have to slag off other girlbands

I really didn't like this song when I first heard it but it's a grower. They are portrayed as kinda bitchy but maybe media is exaggerating it slightly? Anyway, the song and the girls themselves are quite different than anything else that's around these days. Hope it does well!

Catchy, fun and good lyrics! The chart is ruled with people who sing like their talking and if you like at the Top 40, you'll find that at least half of the artists in there have slagged off someone else one time in their career. So the haters can get over themselves. Plus The Saturdays are arrogant diva's - and Vanessa is the only one who can sing! Team Dolly Rockers!
