Natalie Imbruglia: 'Want'
Every Natalie Imbruglia album since her 1997 debut has sold less than its predecessor, so it's probably about time that she tried something different. To that end comes 'Want', a single with a markedly more urgent sound and a video that walks a tightrope between racy and classy - and gets away with it.

With its galloping horse rhythms, cascading melodies and tightly-layered production, the track itself brings to mind Kate Bush hitting the dancefloor - a somewhat unlikely image in 2009. The lyrics are no less evocative. "I hope you get all that you really wanted," she sings, "'Cause I'm moving, moving, moving on." Of course, it's not unexpected that Imbruglia would sing about breaking up on her first single since getting divorced - the surprise comes in seeing her ex-husband's name on the writing credits.

I actually really like this song! I've never been a huge fan of Natalie's but this is a classy, electropop ballad and I really like it! Hasn't been given a lot of airplay but I hope it does well.

This song is such a grower, a brilliant song and return to form for Natalie.

Love the song but have heard that the album is going to be pushed back until Feb 2010! It even has it listed as that on her website, despite the fact its due to be released in the next couple of weeks. Anyone else heard any different? From what I have heard it sounds great. I don't want to wait until next year. I want it NOW!!! lol

Great song, but I'm sure Natalie could do much better than this.

Fantastic track. Love the beat, but it's also got the depth you'd expect from a Natalie single. Definitely one of the best releases this year! This deserves to be big.
