Chipmunk: 'Oopsy Daisy'

It's odd to think that Tim Westwood once dubbed Chipmunk "the future of UK grime". The young MC may have cut his teeth on the streets of North London, but he now sits snugly in the UK Brrap Pack alongside fellow chart-friendly urban acts N-Dubz and DJ Ironik. With a babyface, three A-Levels under his belt and a steady supply of toe-tapping beats, he's the sort of popstar even your mum might approve of.

Following the top ten success of 'Diamond Rings', Chipmunk hasn't broken ranks from his winning formula. His lyrics about the woes of puppy love ("Baseball love, three strikes you're out, you're too busy trying to catch me out") may be a side-step away from boyband cheese, but thanks to some lush harmonies from Miss Dee and an infectious piano hook, 'Oopsy Daisy' sounds like another hit. The future of grime? Probably not. A decent pop career ahead? Almost certainly.

Attention all UK artists. Give up rap & R&B, because you just don't get it. The R&B is tollerable (just), but UK rap is just a sad. Don't bother replying to this if you were born after 1990, because you're taste in music is probably still rubbish.

I hated Diamond Rings, Chip Diddy Chip and Tiny Dancer, but th first time I heard this I was in lovwith it. I just can't stop listening to it! It's very Tinchy Styder, the female's vocals (I don't know her name) are very good, and I like The Saturdays referance - "And now I feel like saturdays are all weaker Me and my heart got crazy issues." BRILLIANT!
