Medina: 'You And I'
Robyn's currently holed up in the recording studio, and the September album got downgraded to download-only, so there might just be space for a new Scandi-popper in the charts. Right on cue comes Medina, a half-Danish, half-Chilean songbird who's recently spent six weeks at No.1 in her (European) homeland with a track called 'Kun For Mig'.

Said smash, for the benefit of British ears, has duly become 'You And I'. With its wistful chorus and cool-but-insistent beats, it's an affecting slice of break-up disco given a frisson of distinction by some authentically Chilean pan pipe flourishes. It's unlikely to trouble Robyn as she readies her new album - it's not original enough for that, truth be told - but this has all the right ingredients to become a very big hit.

Much classier than Robyn or September this is a great chilled out track, though the best version is the Deadmau5 remix by far.
