That's right, Alphabeat have gone '90s dance! Cue clubtastic beats, Stine Bramsen "woah woah"ing like a proper dance diva and housey piano riffs borrowed from fellow Danes Cut 'N' Move. What they haven't changed, thank goodness, is their fondness for an utterly brilliant pop chorus. Remember when your best mate came back after the summer break a bit cooler and more sophisticated than before, but without losing the things that you loved about them in the first place? That's what listening to 'The Spell' is like.

This single is soo catchy, looking forward to the album. Saw them live in Glasgow last night and the new songs sounded really good, can't wait to get them.

very good, although fascination and boyfriend are much better. quailty pop tune that deserves number 1 to be honest with all the crap like alexandra burke and cheryl cole in the charts

Absolutely top-notch pop song! I love the new image and the new sound and I'm delighted Alphabeat are back! They've lost the Guilty Pleasure tag with this record, in my opinion, but that's always a good thing. Yay Alphabeat!!

Alphabeat are definitely not "a bit cooler" than before. They are pure cheese but filed under guilty pleasure. Not a bad song though.

Agree completely, their sound has evolved subtly but that infectiously giddy sense of fun and pure pop hasn't changed one bit.
