Completely agree with Josh, Cornwall. She has incredible vocal ability and has really experimented with her music and has grown with it rather than just being picked up on a talent show. She had to initially sing at burlesque shows and she has got where she is now by herself. Best artist of 2009 (alongside Beyonce) and I can't wait to hear more of her in 2010. Happy new year to everyone at DS.

people have been very critical of GaGa since Just Dance, they have said she lacks vocal ability and her style is completely unoriginal. obviously those were the people not paying attention close enough! Madonna, Michael Jackson, Bette Midler, Cyndi lauper, Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, Kate Bush. are some greats that have had amazing success, Madonna still rules the roost though with her twelfth album due out next year!! however Lady GaGa has shown that with one album she can match Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in terms of growth in creativity and has taken on Beyonce in terms of cultural relevance (Telephone is a song that shows while Beyonce is an amazing collaborator, alone she is only half of what GaGa has accomplished). as with many in pop GaGa is a performance artist, and like the great Madonna and John Lennon she engages her audience through deep or fun songwriting without being too overdependant on her producers or other writers, Gaga is all her own 100% and yes i was born in 1992, but i have a taste that spans the 50'2 to Motown to sould to synth to electro and i think Gaga with The Fame Monster has set up a great and epic future in the music industry. and while i love Britney Spears, Xtina Aguilera, Rihanna and Beyonce, i also love those who have inspired them, and those who have inspired me (Madonna, John Lennon, Marvin Gaye, MJ(rip),Kate Bush,Prince and Freddy Mercury are my idols in music). Bad Romance is the best song this year and The Fame Monster is the best pop album of the year! 10/10

To Ella; How on earth is it fake. She wrote the track and helped produce it. The costuming is all her. What part of the song is fake?

Lady Gaga is not mechanical - she's a fantastic independent singer and a performance artist. She's in charge of her own music and I love the fact she is art and fashion inspired. She got to where she is due to her own sheer determination and hard work, and did not get the easy way in by going on a talent show. Yes the song may be seen by some as mediocre, but those people calling her that are probably fans of the conceited overrated Alex Burke, and probably do not know the meaning of true music and art. Stefani Joanne Germanotta actually did study both subjects. There is a lot more than meets the eye

Seriously, Bunny, what are you talking about? GaGa is in charge of EVERYTHING she does, I mean EVERYTHING! Girls Aloud get told what to do! I hope shes around for the next 20 years, she deserves the success. She is an unstoppable force!
Samantha on November 23rd, 2009
Reply To Bunny: How You Put Girls Aloud And Lady Gaga In Thev Same Sentence Is Unbelieve...Girls Aren't Even Worldwide...Lady Gaga Is Way Better Plus Lady Gaga Writes Her Own Songs....Sng Is Brilliant By The Way
Alex, Atherstone on November 21st, 2009

Awesome song, she's done it again. I hope she does better in the charts - she deserves a top 5 at least IMO. And @ Bunny, Glasgow, Lady GaGa is totally different to Girls Aloud. The latter are essentially a manufactured pop group; GaGa writes her own songs, puts together her own show and her huge global success this past year has been mirrored by only very few artists. Can't wait to see her in February in Manchester.
Alex US on November 12th, 2009
Lady Gaga is freakin amazing!! She IS the hardest working woman in pop!! If bad romance is a preview of what's to come on the Fame Monster, then I'm buying the album!!
Bunny, Glasgow on November 11th, 2009
It's good, but it's not brilliant. I dunno why she's constantly hailed as the greatest thing ever to happen to pop music - lyrically and musically she's not doing anything that Girls Aloud haven't done before her, and usually done better.
darren - london on November 9th, 2009
Incredible shes bloody done it again LOVE her!!!
Patrickk, Limerick on November 8th, 2009
Lady GaGa is the biggest artist this year. No doubt about it. But when she announced the re-release of her debut album with 8 new tracks in a Darker direction people were initially weirded out. However this song is a throw back to dark pop, with it's dark hooks, Hitchcock references (second verse) and a beautiful melody, this is what pop music truly is. GaGa Forever.

A definate grower on me! At first listen I didn't think much of it but after a couple more listens after it has definately become one of my most played songs in recent weeks. 2009 is the year of Gaga and long may it continue into next year!
Liam Halls, London on November 4th, 2009
All I have to say is Lady GaGa rules, one of the best artist of the century. This song is pucker, hope this gets to number one and kicks everyone elses ass.
JAP Plymouth on November 3rd, 2009
She is going to be big. Hang on, she already is! She's amazing, just what pop needs, finally someone who isn't controlled by big companies and is their own, brilliant person!!
Nathan, London on October 31st, 2009
And she has done it again! This song is so damn catchy and the throaty chorus finish has me coming back for more!

Thom, Pompey on October 30th, 2009
Epic, love the production and pretty much everything about it. I was really worried when I heard the demo as I thought that was incredibly depressing and mediocre sounding, but really pleased when I heard the final version. Lady GaGa is the biggest artist of this year because she's taken pop music to new levels, she's got that quirky odd personality that makes her interesting, and her singles have been so damned catchy. If I had one criticism for this song though, it'd be that Poker Face OBVIOUSLY really influenced this - and that's a song by her - so she's influenced herself, but otherwise fantastic and it'd be difficult to give this less than 5 stars. Her 4th '5 star' single of the year - you rarely get artists that manage feats like that.
Alex, Bristol on October 30th, 2009
I did not think Poker Face could be equalled, but she's gone and done it! 2009 is officially the year of the Gaga and I couldn't be happier about that!
Ben Kuwas on October 30th, 2009
This song is extremely weird and creepy, but....thats what makes it good. catchy and a creepily good song.
